OHIO INSURANCE DIRECTOR JILLIAN FROMENT APPOINTED TO FEDERAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON INSURANCE

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Insured Retirement Institute (IRI) issued the following statement from President and CEO Wayne Chopus on the appointment of Ohio Insurance Department Director Jillian Froment to the Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance.

“IRI congratulates Director Froment on her appointment to the Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance. This body needs to have highly experienced state regulatory voices to provide the Federal Insurance Office with effective recommendations and guidance. Director Froment’s home market of Ohio has an active insurance market that requires a knowledgeable regulator. Additionally, Director Froment’s tenure as a member of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners’ executive committee and chair of the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission (IIPRC) provides her with a wealth of additional experience that makes her a highly-qualified fit for this important role.”

The Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance provides advice and recommendations to assist Federal Insurance Office in carrying out its statutory authority.
